Where have I been?

Where have I been?  Chasing little boys of coarse.  I enjoyed blogging but then Facebook became popular. And it was easier to just write a one line sentence about what was going on in my life.  Well I am bored of FB, to much spam. I wish we could all come back to blogging again.
So I have been busy since my last post.  I now have five boys.  We added Zayden Quincy Aug 10 2012.
He is a Walker baby for sure.  I think we should have named him after my Dad.  I often think that he is what my dad would have looked like as a child.
Zayden likes food as much as my dad did.

I hope to have some time to update this more often.  And I hope to see more updates of my families blogs.

River Run?????

I decided the Boys need to experience some of the things that I did as a child.  So I booked a trip to Moab and took the boys on their first river trip.  We went with a Commercial outfit on the Colorado, the Fish Towers day run.  We had a blast and I couldn't help but think of my Dad often that day.  Now the boys ask if we can "river raft"

down every river that they see.  They think that they are professional River Guides now and know everything there is to know about rivers (like Eddies and currents and all the other river jargon that they heard on the River.)
We stayed a couple of days in Moab and went to the Arches and did a lot of hiking.  We had a  blast and were so thankful to family that took the two younger boys so we didn't have to worry about them.   We chose to stay in a Cowboy cabin rather than a tent and I am so thankful that we did. (A/C what would we have done without you?)  This at Delicate Arch.

This is Jensen being a mountain goat.  Let me back up the image a bit so that you can see how far up he really is.  I even heard another Mother calling him to come down (she was way worried about how high he had gotten.  Should I have been????)  It was funny to hear her husband scold her to mind her own business that he wasn't her child.  I just had to laugh, then I hiked up to him.  Ok not really, I couldn't get that high.

McCoy loves to bounce!

McCoy loves to bounce!  We just put him in his exersaucer.  I think Teagan was more excited then McCoy was.  Poor McCoy I guess I will have to put him in it when none of his brothers are around to "help him play with it."

Christmas is over, and a New Year has begun!

Well did you all have a fun Christmas?

We did! It was fun this year to have my mom sleep over Christmas Eve and celebrate with us. We went out to a Chinese place for Christmas Eve dinner after cleaning the house so that Santa could come.(Santa doesn't come to dirty house's) Then came home and watched a movie. Then Quin read the Christmas story for us out of the Scriptures. The boys complained and wanted to know why they had to sit quietly and listen to the story. Which told me that I need to do a better job of teaching my boys what Christmas is really about.

Christmas morning we got to sleep until 6:30 then they were up and at it! I think that the boys got what they wanted and Santa even left a stocking for my mom. The big surprise didn't happen until later when the boys finally looked out the window and saw that Santa had left them a new Trampoline! Brexton was so excited he couldn't even get the words out to tell everyone what he saw. He just sat there and pointed out the window!

Playing their Paper Jamz
Later that morning we all met up at my Grandpa Hansen's house and had a Christmas brunch with the whole family.(except Jim's family) My mom bought every one Nerf Guns and we had an epic war at the school!   Happy New Year!

The man RJ McCoy never knew.

Been thinking about my dad a lot lately and the fact that he never got to hold McCoy here on earth. I know that you all say that they were together in heaven before McCoy came down but it still doesn't bring me comfort. I will never have the special pictures of my dad snuggling my baby, screaming "Mercy, Mercy" while being tickled to death, spinneys, and being thrown in the air so high you heart stops.

No dad in blessing day circles, baptism, priesthood blessings. It seems the circle will just keep getting smaller as loved ones pass away. Who will tease him about girls and getting in trouble? Who will retell the funny knotty things that my boys have done? Who will take them river rafting and cheer at their games. Show them how to scream at the referees on TV and do the hand signals of the Ref before the Ref even does them? Who will teach them how to fix everything.

I only hope to show him the things that my dad taught me. Camping, building an awesome fire, riding a bike, playing sports and having good sportsmanship. Giving it your all and not doing something half heartedly. Being happy and doing things for others.
Missing you Dad!

Welcome RJ McCoy Wilkerson

Have I lost all bladder control? Was my question Monday the 16th? I kept dribbling and wetting my pant. I couldn't stop it! Finally I decided to go the the hospital and get checked. It wasn't in my plans for the day at all! I had a showing of my house scheduled that evening and I was watching my best friends little girls for her and we were about to eat a yummy dinner that I had prepared myself! (I haven't been cooking lately.)

Well I had Quin drop me off at the hospital and he took the rest of the kids to the park to wait for me. I was expecting it to be a false alarm and they would just send me home. Wrong!!! I waddled in with my legs held tightly together as fast as I could. I asked embarrassingly if they could check to see if my water had broke. You know how they act, thinking I am just another excited mother to be.... Off they show me to the exam room. The nurse at the nurse station yelled "you better just admit her. Her water is running down her legs!" I was shocked! I asked if I could go home and get some things (eat, I knew they were going to starve me in there). Nope now that my water had broke I was shackled up to monitor and IV lines. Well I tried to get my own contractions going by walking the halls. A little hard to do when I'm all hooked up and water keeps running down my legs! I wondered if it would ever stop, I must have been carrying the ocean in there. This all started around 6pm. Finally I gave up and had a C-Section. (They wouldn't give me Pitocion because I had already had two previous C-Sections.)

At 3am I had RJ McCoy almost three week early! Six pounds 2 ounces, 17 1/2 inches long. It was exciting since non of my other boys came out on time. I was totally unprepared. I hadn't gotten anything out of storage and washed and set up. Thanks to my amazing husband I came home to everything being ready for us.

Notice that I don't have that many pictures? That seems to happen with each baby that you have. But take notice of McCoy's blond hair and I think will be blue eyes. Finally Quin has a child that looks like him. I think that his temperament might be like Quins, calm and patient.
